Surrounding Yourself With Positive Influence After A Brain Aneurysm.

Updated: Nov 5, 2023

After suffering from a brain aneurysm, I found myself struggling to get my life back on track. I had lost my sense of direction and motivation, and I felt like I was constantly surrounded by negativity. It was a difficult time, but I knew that I needed to make a change if I wanted to move forward.

One day, I decided to sit down and make a list of all the people in my life. I wanted to identify who were the positive influences and who were the negative ones. It was a tough exercise, but it helped me realize that some people were not helping me reach my goals. So, I made the decision to distance myself from these individuals and focus on surrounding myself with positive influences.

The first step I took was to connect with like-minded individuals. I joined a support group for people who had also suffered from a brain aneurysm. https://www.rupturedbrainaneurysm.com/post/brainwave-connections-brain-aneurysm-support-groups it was a safe space where I could share my struggles and learn from others who were going through a similar experience. This helped me build a supportive community and gain valuable insights on how to cope with my condition.

I also started to join clubs and groups related to my interests. https://www.meetup.com/ I found a local book club and a hiking group, and I quickly made new friends who shared the same passions as me. Being around people who had similar goals and interests was refreshing, and it sparked my motivation to start pursuing my own dreams again.

But perhaps the most significant impact on my journey came from my mentors. I reached out to individuals who had experienced success in areas that I was interested in. They provided me with valuable advice, support, and encouragement. They believed in me and my abilities, which helped me believe in myself again.

Finally, I made sure to express gratitude to all the positive influences in my life. I thanked my support group, my new friends, and my mentors for their unwavering support. Showing appreciation not only strengthened my relationships, but it also reminded me of how far I had come and how much further I could go with the right people by my side.

Surrounding myself with positive influences was a crucial step in my recovery. It helped me build confidence, motivation, and a strong support system. I learned that the people in my life could have a significant impact on my journey, and I am grateful for all those who have helped me get to where I am today.
